Article Publishing Process

The Journal of Social Science and Multidisciplinary Enquiry (JSSME) follows a transparent and structured review system to ensure the integrity and quality of all published papers. The process follows the workflow illustrated below.

Step 1: Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system.

Each article must be submitted only once. An acknowledgment email will be sent within 3–5 working days of submission.

Step 2: Initial Editorial Screening

The editor screens all submissions to verify:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Compliance with formatting and referencing requirements
  • Originality and plagiarism check

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned for correction or declined before peer review.

Publishing Process

Step 3: Peer Review Process

Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers for double-blind peer review.

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s quality, accuracy, and contribution to the field.

Step 4: Reviewer Recommendation

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept
  • Minor or major revision
  • Reject

Authors may be invited to revise and resubmit the manuscript in response to reviewer feedback.

Step 5: Revision and Editorial Assessment

Revised manuscripts must be submitted within the specified timeframe (usually 2–4 weeks), along with a response letter addressing reviewer comments.

The editor assesses the revised version and may send it for further review if necessary.

Step 6: Final Decision

Based on the editorial and reviewer evaluations, the editor issues a final decision:

  • Accept for publication
  • Request further revision
  • Reject

Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage.

Step 7: Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted papers undergo professional copyediting and proofreading to ensure consistency, accuracy, and readability.

Authors receive proof copies for final verification. Only minor corrections are accepted at this stage.

Step 8: Online Publication

Finalized articles are published online with full citation details and a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

All publications are indexed in relevant academic databases.

Step 9: Publication Complete

The article becomes part of the journal’s official record. Authors are encouraged to link their work to their ORCID, Google Scholar, and institutional profiles.
