About the Journal

The Journal of Social Science and Multidisciplinary Enquiry (JSSME) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Noesis Publishing. We publish rigorous scholarship across the social sciences, arts and humanities, education, and business, and we encourage research that crosses disciplinary boundaries.

Founded in 2025, JSSME offers a platform that brings disciplines into conversation, supports collaborative research, and gives priority to studies with meaningful social impact.

JSSME publishes original, high-quality research that advances critical debate and offers evidence-based insight into contemporary societies. The journal aims to foster intellectual dialogue, encourage methodological innovation, and contribute to both theory and practice.

Peer review and editorial process

To maintain high standards of academic integrity, every manuscript passes through the following stages.

  1. 1

    Initial editorial screening

    The editorial team checks the submission for scope, originality, and adherence to the journal's formatting and ethical guidelines.

    Usually within 7–10 days
  2. 2

    Double-blind review

    The anonymised manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the field. Authors and reviewers remain unknown to each other.

    Generally within 30 to 45 working days, depending on reviewer response
  3. 3

    Editorial decision

    Authors receive one of four outcomes: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject, together with constructive feedback from the reviewers.

  4. 4

    Final approval

    The Editor-in-Chief confirms that all revisions meet the journal's academic and ethical standards before publication.

Journal policies

Open access

JSSME follows a Gold Open Access model. Every article is freely available online as soon as it is published, with no subscription fees or paywalls. Readers may download, share, and cite our articles with proper attribution.

Copyright and licensing

Authors keep full copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish it under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may copy, redistribute, adapt, and build on the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided they credit the original authors, link to the licence, and indicate any changes.

Archiving and digital preservation

To keep every article secure and permanently available, JSSME takes part in:

  • LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, which preserve content in distributed library archives worldwide
  • Our own institutional repository, for redundant backup and disaster recovery

Privacy statement

Names, email addresses, and affiliations collected during submission and review are used only for academic and editorial purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties without explicit consent, except where the law requires it, and we comply with applicable data protection regulations, including the GDPR.

Ethics and publication malpractice

JSSME follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors must ensure that their work is original and properly cited, free of plagiarism, falsification, or fabrication, and that research involving human participants meets ethical standards, with institutional review board approval where required.

Reviewers and editors must keep manuscripts confidential, declare any conflicts of interest, and give objective, constructive, and timely feedback.
